On October 6th at 5:30 p.m., the Abbey Speakers Series resumes with an event exploring intellectual diversity on campus, co-hosted by the General Alumni Association. Come hear a panel discussion with teacher-scholars who approach this charged topic from different perspectives.
• William Sturkey, associate professor of history at UNC
• Rob Henderson, doctoral candidate in psychology at the University of Cambridge and a Gates Cambridge Scholar
• Amna Khalid, associate professor of history at Carleton College and a fellow at the University of California National Center for Free Speech
• Michael S. Roth, president of Wesleyan University and author of Safe Enough Spaces: A Pragmatist’s Approach to Inclusion, Free Speech, and Political Correctness
This hybrid event will be hosted in the Nelson Mandela Auditorium of the FedEx Global Education Center and livestreamed on Zoom.
