Culture and Child Development: Historical and Theoretical Perspectives
Each semester, the Carolina Consortium on Human Development proseminar series concludes with the Robert B. Cairns Capstone Lecture in recognition of his outstanding contributions to scholarship and to the mentoring of developmental scientists. For this lecture, we honor one senior scientist in our field whose career and research program exemplifies Developmental Science. Dr. Cynthia García Coll from the University of Puerto Rico is the recipient of this honor for our Spring 2021 series on Culture & Developmental Science: Considering Context, Culture, and Intersectional Approaches. We are honored Dr. García Coll will join us on Monday, May 3rd to present Culture and Child Development: Historical and Theoretical Perspectives.

The Capstone Lecture is open to the public and provides an excellent opportunity for exchange on overarching themes in Developmental Science.
